Raby Bay Residents Association Inc
Who are We?

The Raby Bay Residents Association Inc (RBRA) is a volunteer non-profit organisation comprising of members who are homeowners and residents of the Raby Bay Canal Estate.  The association was incorporated in 1995 as the Raby Bay Ratepayers Association Inc and was set up to provide a forum that supports and represents the residents of Raby Bay, on important matters across the broader community of Cleveland and beyond. It continues today and the name was changed to the Raby Bay Residents Association in 2024. RBRA has a Management Committee that is elected on an annual basis.  The Committee represents and acts on behalf of the RBRA members and provides general control and administration of the RBRA affairs, property and funds.

Our Objectives:
  • To provide residents a source of information and guidance on matters associated with the Raby Bay Canal Estate.

  • To assist the orderly planning and maintenance of the Raby Bay Canal Estate by liaison with Redland City Council (RCC) and other stakeholders.

  • To integrate Raby Bay into the broader Redlands community by positively promoting all aspects of Raby Bay and its residents.

  • To affiliate with any other organisation possessing like aims and objectives.

  • To address matters of annual rates and or charges imposed by RCC.

  • To encourage residents interest and participation in local community affairs.

  • To provide a forum to which residents of Raby Bay can research and bring forward and debate matters of interest and/or concern.

  • To organise and put into effect such operations as may be required, to raise funds to facilitate the community growth and influence of the RBRA.

RBRA has a long standing relationship with the Redland City Council. The relationship is governed by a “Joint Working Group (JWG)” that comprises members from both RCC and RBRA. This group meets on a quarterly basis to review progress on RCC projects and activities within the Raby Bay Canal Estate. The JWG also provides a forum for RBRA member issues or concerns to be discussed and appropriately actioned.
